From Kevin Klein, Class Vice-President & Reunion Chairman: Classmates, Our 15 year reunion is upon us. There have been a lot of great events planned and it promises to be a great weekend. The forecast right now calls for a chance of showers on Saturday. Of course that won't happen but pack accordingly. We will have a tent for the tailgate. We will provide handouts when you register and collect your giveaways with more info and the more detailed bus schedule. Some items of note before you start traveling into town: Volunteers: I am looking for some volunteers to help man the registration desk during the following periods. Please email me at

This weekend will be on of the busiest weekends of the year in Annapolis. The classes of 53', 58', 78', 83' and 88' are having reunions. It is also 1/c and 2/c parent’s weekend. So the term gridlock is going to be used quite a bit. To add to the chaos, there is essentially no parking on the yard for your POVs. Because of this, we have contracted bus service from the Doubletree hotel to the yard during the weekend. You can not get your POV onto the yard without a DoD sticker. But even if you get on, you are very unlikely to find a parking spot. Academy security has tow trucks on call to tow vehicles parked illegally. Bottom Line: Come use the buses. If you are not staying at the Doubletree, you can still park there and use the buses. Bus Schedule: *** These are Yellow School Buses from Annapolis Bus Co. They should be marked for reunion use vice the Blue USNA buses which are for parents weekend.** Thursday SEP 18 1200-1700 (1 bus) Continuous Shuttle between Doubletree and Alumni Hall * There will be a mini bus operating a loop around the yard from Alumni Hall with stops at the Mid Store, Visitors Center and the Chapel. This mini-bus will run Friday and Saturday as well. Friday SEP 19 0900-1200 (3 Buses) Continuous Shuttle between Doubletree and Alumni Hall 1200-1500 (1 bus) Continuous Shuttle between Doubletree and Alumni Hall 1700-1730 (4 buses) Post Parade shuttle from Alumni Hall to the Doubletree 1830-2000 (2 buses) Continuous Shuttle from Hotel to Visitors Center for reception 2130-2300 (3 buses) Continuous Shuttle from Visitors Center to Doubletree ** 2300 last bus departs visitor center for Doubletree. If you go out down town, you are on your own. Dress: There have been many questions regarding dress for the weekend events. We are trying to keep it simple so plan on this as you pack: Thursday No Host Social Casual Friday Reception Business casual (slacks, polo/collared shirt) Saturday Tailgate Navy Spirit Casual WHO IS COMING?? Attached is a spreadsheet with the names of our classmates who have regsitered to date.
